Forgot to mention - If you are taking hormone replacement or a supplement that contains estrogenic compounds (such as soy, black cohosh, or flaxseed) that could cause a drop in FSH since FSH is an indicator of estrogen levels. FSH rises as estrogen drops and vice versa.

Were the 70 and 90 results after you had gone a full year without a period? FSH can bounce around from pre-menopausal / reproductive to menopausal and vice versa until you are officially menopausal. So those results would be "valid" during perimenopause or in menopause. But your latest result of 25 is also menopausal if you go by Quest Diagnostics' lab range. However, other labs use 30 as the cut-off.
Something that could account for this big drop is some sporadic ovarian activity which is common in the early post-menopausal years (to the point that it can even cause post-meno bleeding that oftentimes is nothing concerning). And the ovaries never really stop producing hormones - they continue doing so into a woman's 80's.
