spotting

i am 56 and have been going through menopause for about 5 years and  today i have been spotting just a little whats up and what should i do, and why is this happining now. THANKS  FOR ANY HELP

I am a bit' older than you but I remember this, it wasnt anything but it only was the once if you get it again it wouldnt hurt to ask your Doctor and put your mind at rest.
