Blood clot/Stroke Can I still use Viagra or poppers

I am 40 years old. Until now healthy no cholesterol no drugs or alcohol. I had an stroke (thank goodness kinda small affected a bit of my sight). A blood clot blocked a blood vessel.
Heart and blood pressure etc are all perfect and they haven't found the cause of the blood clot/stroke
Question is, I use Viagra and poppers (not at the same time obviously) for more than 15 years. Are they still save to use? Cos as far as I know they both can lower blood pressure but pressure and blood circulation as well as heart are all perfect.
Thanks!!

It's good you mentioned not using them together. That can cause a stroke -

https://health.clevelandclinic.org/what-are-poppers-and-are-they-dangerous/

https://www.stroke.org.uk/sites/default/files/publications/sex_and_intimate_relationships_after_a_stroke.pdf - this says you should avoid Viagra and other meds for at least 3 months after your stroke, and until your BP is under control. There are also certain meds you shouldn't mix with them.

I would definitely talk to your doctor about it. Your stroke specialist is definitely the best bet.

Glad you're okay now. :)

Thank you for the PDF it is actually quite useful.
Yes thank goodness it was a "small" stroke although I still have recover some vision. Thank you for message!!

Yes I will definitely ask them cos the GP was not very sure. Can't blame her she can't know everything!!

Funny you mention BP cos they checked everything and all was alright even cholesterol. I just had a bit of varicose and after having aspirin first and then blood thinners now they completely disappeared for first time in m life :)

Thanks a lot for the answer :)

Since you have recent medical issues, you should really talk to your doctor about the additional meds you are taking. I presume your doctor did not prescribe the ED medications for you, and taking medication not prescribed for you after having a vascular event is just not a great idea.

Correct doctor did not prescribe the ED medication. I will ask them once I go back to the hospital (I previously asked my GP but she was not exactly sure about what to tell me hence I will ask the stroke specialist). Thanks :)
