Most guys your age will experience some enlargement and tenderness of one or both breasts or one or both nipples. Breast enlargement usually goes away in a few months. Occasionally it may take a year or two. Nipple swelling likewise is usually temporary. Enlargement of the nipple itself is usually permanent. Surgical correction is possible, but there are, of course risks. It is usually best to resort to surgery only as a last resort.
