Contact Lenses

Just recently learned I need corrective lenses. I am very interested in wearing contact lenses, however the Rx the doc gave me made my vision worse than not wearing corrective lenses at all. Wearing my new glasses improves my eyesight, but I would much prefer the contacts. I had no issues whatsoever putting contacts in, taking them out, nor did they bother me in the least, when they were in (other than blurry vision). Is there anything I can do so that I can wear contacts? Different Brand? GP? HELP!
My Rx is as follows.
Glasses:
SRX    SPH   CYL   Axis   ADD   Prism/Base
OD     +.75   -.25   070
OS     +.25   sph     -

Contacts:
CLRS   SPH   CYL   Axis   BC   Dia
OD     +.75   SpH    -      8.4   14.2
OS     +.50   SpH    -      8.4   14.2

Brand prescribed - Softmed Breathables

It is possible that because of your vision changing that the contacts are right, but it takes your eyes a while to adjust to the contacts, basically like new glasses. A good way to tell is if you have headaches or your vision does not get 'right" in a week, especially if you are dizzy, then it's the wrong prescription.
