DEPRESSION DRUGS

hello everyone i was suffering from some depression about 2 years ago and i was taking zoloft and xanax and i was taking alot of it and i had some hAllucinations. not visual but i was having crazy thoughts and was thinking about a lot of weird stuff. i think it was the medication. i remember taking about 10 or more pills a day. your gonna think im insane when i tell you this but i remember about 2 years ago when i was taking the medication. i took it in the morning then i left for work and on the way to work i was on the highway and it was a very foggy day and i seen a truck that said 1800-dial-GOD and i started to think that it was a sign from god and i was terrified. i thought i was gonna die. the truck scared the **** out of me. it turned ouT that it was a delivery truck but at the time i was just focused on the 1800-dial-GOD ON THE BACK OF THE TRUCK. i think i was taking to many pills and it caused me to think crazy. i remember i seen the back of the truck and it said 1800-dial-GOD AND IMMEDIATELY I WAS IN TERROR AND HORROR AND MY HEART WAS RACING EXTREMELY FAST AND I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE. AT THE TIME I COULDNT THINK STRAIGHT AND I THOUGHT THAT GOD WAS COMING FOR ME I THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA TAKE ME. IV BEEN OFF THE MEDICATION FOR 2 YEARS NOW AND I FEEL FINE NO MORE CRAZY THOUGHTS OR ANYTHING. DO DEPRESSION DRUGS CAUSE PSYCOTIC EPISODES LIKE IM DESCRIBING

Have you tried any natural alternative treatments?  I suffered from  from depression a little over a year ago and it lasted for almost four months.  I didn't think anything would make it go away!  my doctor had me try several different meds ranging from medium to strong in potency.  I experienced weight gain with most of them and some of them I didn't notice anything at all.  My doc even had me on sleeping pills (Ambien mostly), because he said it would help regulate my sleeping habits and stop some of the weight gain effects of the drugs.  I just didn't really like the way any of the prescribed meds made me feel, mentally and physically, so I stopped taking them all together.  I decided to try working out more and changing my diet to see if that would help.  I also found quite a bit of good info on the web about alternative natural meds that could help with my depression.  I tried a few and they all seemed to work better than the doctor prescribed meds.  Here is a link to a site I found very helpful:  http://www.jigsawhealth.com/articles/depression.html.  Take a look and see if it sounds helpful.  I guess it really depends on the severity of your depression but there is no sure way to get out of the funk.  I recommend trying several different things, you will eventually find a way out of your blues.  I hope this helps!  Good luck and get well!
