Fever in Leg

My husband has a fever in his leg from the knee down and it hurts to the touch. Also a terrible headache.  He is a diabetic and has 5 stints in his heart from 3 heart attacts.  I can't get him to go to the emergency room.  Anyone know what it could be?

Sounds like maybe something I had once,a brown recluse bite. That's how it started out when I got bit.I'd check for a small bite somewhere first. But that's infection I am positive of.You really do need to get him to the Dr soon as possible.
