HSV 1

Hi I am 17 i was told by a docter i had HSV 1 when i was 16. My first outbreak was sort of bad but nothing real big. I havent had an outbreak since , (about 6 months). Whats the chances I can pass the virus to a partner with no signs or outbreaks during sexual activity (with condom).

Most cases of genital herpes due to HSV-1 do not recur frequently, so you sound typical. Go to the MedHelp STD Forum and search the threads for a lot more information on genital herpes due to HSV-1.  Or go to the link "STD Quick Facts and Articles on the STD Forum home page and read the article on genital herpes.
