Well, to each his own, as they say. Being in the research bus. myself, I tend to believe results when the same conclusion keeps popping up.
well thanks but its just a study. using words like theory, and it may, possible. the answer is nobody said it doesnt, but i have read it does. all im saying is theortic study isnt proof of anything and to me im kinda a proof kind of girl lol.
Lots of info here and a whole bunch more. I've been researching rvvc for almost 2 years now. There is no conclusive proof that the man transmitts the infection back to the partner.

well after researching for the truth everything i have read said YES IT CAN BE TRANSMITTED FROM PARTNER TO PARTNER. soooo if you have research to back up it up give us where to read about it. im guessing you really dont know what your talking about. from experience and the poster after me..... it does happen.
That is interesting. Because I was told by the doctor not to have unprotected sex with my husband while he had his yeast infection because it would be transferred to me...
thats interesting. how do you explain how we transfer it to men but they cant transfer to us? i know we can give them ive had that experience unless both drs were wrong. if wrong about yeast scary what else they are wrong about!
The sexual transmission of yeast between lovers is an 'old wives tale'. Treating the male partner has not been shown to have any affect on the woman partner getting or not getting a yeast infection. There are many scientific papers that rebuke this myth as unfounded.
A woman gets a yi when the chemistry in her vagina gets out of whack. Either by antibiotics, recovering from a cold, stress, eating too much sugar/alcohol, time of her cycle, too much or too vigourous sex or even a new partner. Sometimes it takes a while for body chemistries to get in synch with each other. She can also have a ph balance shift after sex. Semen is known to raise the ph level of the vagina for 6-8hrs after sex. This may be all that's needed to allow the yeast that do exist in her vagina to over grow.
most likely if SHE transferred it to you it will continue unless you get some cream from your dr (dont know about over the counter). my ex and i had a go around of this for a bit because he had no symptoms of a yeast. you wont have discharge like we do but you could be red and irritated or nothing at all. i dont know if this is good advice but i did have a dr tell us to have sex after i used some monostat cream for it. if she uses meds and it continues to come back good chance you both need to be treated for this. men dont just get yeast infections.
