Pimple on bottom of butt

Almost three months ago, I had surgery to remove hemorrhoids and some warts caused by HPV. Everything went well, and my doctor said I was healing up fine. Last week, I had a small pimple on the very bottom of my butt crack...almost in my taint area. It was no not discomforting than a normal pimple, and it finally was able to pop after a few days. White pus came out, and after putting some cortisone cream on the area, it went down. There wasn’t any burning, itching, or pain. It was just slightly discomforting feeling like it was below the skin a bit. The hairs on my butt/anal area were removed for surgery, so this seemed like a blocked hair follicle. I continued applying cortisone cream and neosporin occasionally, and the bump has essentially disappeared. The discomfort also went away as soon as it was popped, like I was letting some pressure off. Does this sound normal after surgery in that area? I’ve given myself some self examinations, and everything looks fine down there. My bowel movements are normal as well.
