My orgasms have diminished and are almost gone. Hormonal treatment is not helping.

About three years ago I started noticing that my orgasms are becoming ... bland. Mechanically, everything still works. Erection, ejaculation, etc. It's just that I feel almost nothing. Eventually I went to the doctor, did some tests, found that my testosterone level was below the normal range.

After trying different medication and doses, I now inject myself weekly with slow-release testosterone, which brings me up to the higher end of the normal range. I can feel the effects, muscle growth, energy, but the main problem - my orgasm - is not better. It's been 4-5 months so far, with no noticeable improvement in that department.

I'm white, 40yo, not an athlete but also not a slob. Not overweight.

Anyone gone through something similar? I have another appointment with the DR in 2 months, but all he's been saying so far is to wait.

Any ideas?

BTW, also tried eating Brazil Nuts  :)

I'm sorry, I should have said, do you take any medications that your Dr has prescribed.
That's a good thing that your numbers are going up.I agree with your Dr that it can take some time for things to get back to normal. It must be frustrating though.
I'm not sure why you're not getting at least a little more feeling back yet though. Have you and your partner tried any of the over the counter products that can give you more sensation? I'm still recommending not masturbating for a few days to see if that helps. And you might want to check out those products online before trying them. That way people will give honest reviews as to whether they actually work or not.

Have you been tested since starting the shots to see what your levels are? If not, that needs to be done because you might not be at a high enough level yet.
If you masturbate you may want to cut back on that. People can get used what feels good to them during masturbation and that can make things different when you're with your partner. I'm just throwing that option out there. Maybe it will help and maybe it won't.
A couple more things I'm going to throw out there. Are you on any meds other than the shots? Do you have lower back problems? I'm asking because some medications can interfere with orgasms, and so can back problems if you have pinched nerves. All of the nerves in the spine go to every part of our bodies.

Excellent questions. I've been tested a few times and with the injections my testosterone levels are at the high range of normal. No other meds, no back pain. I masturbate, but not excessively and not more than I've been most of my life.
Also I don't smoke, drink or do drugs of any kind.
