Low Testosterone Levels in 36 male??

I just found out my test. levels are low. I'm 36 years old and have been feeling tired, moody, depressed for the last several years. I also have a lot of low back bain and my sex drive has also decreased. My cholesterol levels have also increased in the last few years. Are these all signs of low testosterone? Isn't 36 kind of young to be experiencing this? Is this also considered a mid-life crisis issue? I'm going to start some test. therapy via a cream but any info regarding this area would be great.

Thanks

You don't say what kind of doctor is treating you for low T level.  Since your Total T score is so low, your Leydig cells which are supposed to produce Testo seem almost not functional.  In my opinion try to find a top notch urologist by asking friends, aquaintenances or your pharmacist who may know of one they have heard of who is great. One option you might suggest to your doctor which I have read works for some men is to take  clomiphene citrate 50mg every other day.  If that alone does not work then maybe add a T-injection on the days you don't take the clomiphene. Good Luck.

No 36 isnt to young for low test. And yes the things you said could all be a result of low test. But may not be the reason for all of them in ur case. I felt and had a few of the issues you talked about and went and had my blood checked and sure enough my test was way low. That was about one year ago. Doc started me off on the gel and after test showed no improvements he put me on injectable about 6 months ago. I started at 1cc of 100ml every two weeks, then after no improvement he had me go to 1cc of 200ml every two wks. Well i just has blood work done lastweek and Doctors office called me today and my Test level was 140! Hell 280 is the bottom of the normal level. So he tells me to double it again. So im doin 2cc's of 200ml every two weeks and looks like im gonna be on it for life. I have no idea what happen, now i was in a bad motorcycle accident that broke my femur bone in 2004 and they say a serious truma can cause this. If i can give you any advice is, maybe talk to ur Doc about refering you to a hormone replcement Doc.My Doc is a great guy and good Doctor, but he i may have to go to a specialist soon. Take care and good lck, keep me informed.
