Please Help, im desperate for help

im a 27yr old male, for the past month ive been feeling fatigue. i wake up ok and then an hour later it hits me, i feel very tired, lightheaded. my legs feel rubbery. i went to the ER one morning and they did blood, urine, chest x-ray and lower abdominal ct scan and found nothing. they send me home druged up with no answers. they did tell me that my liver had some abnormal function but that it seemed healthy. i also had a colonoscopy done recently for lower abdoinal pain and they found nothing, dont think thats relates but just thought id mention it. i can only descripbe my feeling as a feeling of when one gets very nervous and your legs get rubbery and you feel weak and your fingers shake a little and feel like there is no energy to do anything and this feeling is 24/7. the time that i when to the ER i was really feeling it, but for the past 2 weeks or so it has gotten better where i can at least function but this feeling of fatigue and lack of energy is not going away. i have no family history of cancer, i dont smoke or drink at all. im 6'11 and 170lbs. im just so sick of feeling lightheaded and weird all the time, i know you cant diagnose people over the net, but ive read that cancers number one symptom is usually fatigue, weakness and no energy and im am so affraid, i have this feeling deep inside that i have cancer.

Have you had a MRI or CT scan done of your head.  Could be neuro related or sinus related.  Not saying it is but given the past few months of test I've gone thru with my husband, its possible.  He has had every test done that you have a several more.

oh yes im sorry, im 5'11. my next appoinment with the doctor is sep 6, they did blood tests but i dont know which ones, i think they did a white blood count, i will know the results on the sixth. i still feel lighheaded, its like a vague feeling of lighteadedness and lack of energy, i cant explain it any better than that, i constantly hope that it will go away next time i wake up but it never does, for some reason i feel better in the evening. i dont know what to do, but i cant live like this, its severely affecting my life, i feel that im going to pass out and die one of these days, this thing just hit me out of nowhere. can anyone tell me what type of blood are done in the er. dod they do test for everything?

I think you should be able to contact the ER you went to to find out what tests they did -- there would be no way for me to tell you, since there is never a consistent amount of blood test that are done. The only way to know is to ask them for their records.

You should just tell your DR in your next appt that you want to be very thouroughly tested & not to discount anything -- hopefully they'll figure it out.

Have been tested for chronic fatigue syndrome or Lupis? A referal from your physician to a Rheumetologist will be your best and quickest way to find an answer to this medical dilema. I don't think many doctors know much about either disorder and so they tend to not delve in to the possibilites of it... my fiance has Lupis and it is a very puzzling and frustrating disease, and your symptoms sound exactly like what he went through for almost 2 years before he was diagnosed and now is recieving treatment through a pain clinic and other sources. Do a little research on the web and then talk to your doctor again.. you owe it to yourself to at least investigate all of the avenues of treatment available to you. Good Luck.

You said you are 6'11 and 170lbs. Is that a typo, otherwise that seems a little on the thin side. I agree with the other poster, do you have a regular physician you can see about this?

Did they test you for low iron or blood sugar levels? Could be anemia or diabetes... How about your potassium levels? Could be a mineral issue... What about your thyroid? Generalized weakness can be associated with all of those things...

I might go to a new doctor and get some new opinions & more tests.

Good luck
