I showed a minor back issue to a healer who gave me a vigorous rub up and down my back right up to my neck. Next morning as I would try to get out of bed I would collapse. This carried on for some time. My BP and body temperature also dropped low. The docs put it down to cervical vertigo caused by the faulty vigorous rub. Also, my PSA shot up after this episode.
A month or two later while out of town I went in for a gentle Tibetan massage again up and down my back up to my neck (this would not have been faulty). Again, the next day while getting up from bed I would collapse and the next night while coming out of the toilet I collapsed twice and the third time became unconscious. I recovered again after a few days and within a month I was back at playing my favourite sport, squash. I was doing well until about 6 months back I was stung by a mosquito that caused chikungunya (the mosquito borne virus) from which i am still not fully recovered.
1. Could the faulty vigorous rub have created a nerve issue which is why I again became vulnerable to even a normal massage?
2. Could there be a co-relation between whatever nerve issue (or whatever due to the faulty vigorous rub) and the sudden jump in PSA?
3. Could this have compromised my general health condition making me more easily vulnerable to chikungunya (knowing of course that the mosquito was the culprit but may be my body would have warded the virus off in a better condition?
Look forward to a response to this peculiar question.
