sore across meatus

A few weeks ago I noticed this bump/sore near the opening of my penis. I’ve been diagnosed with herpes but I’m not sure if it’s that or something else. It doesn’t seem to really hurt unless I touch it, but it’s just discomforting. Please help

I don't think it's herpes, either. There's no blistering or redness or anything. (How were you diagnosed with that?)

It really just looks like irritation, maybe some dermatitis or something. I can't really see a formed sore, more like some bumpy areas - is that what you mean? I don't know what your glans and meatus looks like normally, so sometimes it's hard for others to see what is very obvious for you. If it's smooth for you normally, then yes, I definitely see the difference.

In any case, since it's new for you, you should see your doctor. It honestly could be anything from an allergic reaction to a fungal infection to dermatitis. I don't see anything there that looks like an STD, if that's what you're concerned about.

I'm not a doctor, and can't diagnose you, but if you can get to a doctor, definitely go. It's concerning you enough to ask here, so it's worth the visit. Let us know what happens. :)
