I am asking the question on behalf of my husband who is terrified to go to the doctor.
He is 46, active and in good health. He is about 6' 2" and about 230lbs. He discovered a lump several years ago on left side of chest at the rib line. No pain, no discoloring, dosen't move, no additional growth after finding it. Yesterday he finally shared that he has dicovered additional lumps, right shoulder, left mid-back. Again no pain, no discoloration, and they don't move. If he didn't point them out you wouldn't know they were there. He has no other apparent symptoms or complaints. He has lost some weight but I thought it was stress and he stopped drinking soda.
With the first one he felt unconcerned, people are kinda bumpy? With the additional bumps his fear has grown to cancer paranoia.
What suggestions on the lump characteristic do we look for before we get really scared and what questions should we ask a doctor if he will go?
