if you can't help me with this, can you direct me to someone who can online please......i have been breaking down kadian capsules wich are 100 milligrams each and using a 1 cc syringe....i done this for about a month straight..about one  a night....i am now out of the pills and i am using the leftover particles of the pills to try and ween my self from the withdrawl...i only take an injection when i can't sleep...the amount of morphine in the injections now can't be very much at all...probably not even 2 or 3 milligrams wich i doubt they are even that much....but it knocks off the crawling skin effect and i can sleep....i have had about 7 or 8 hours of cold turkey withdrawls...but the craving i don't have....i really don't crave it i just get jittery and my skin crawls and i can't sleep...all i want is a way to sleep and i can fight the withdrawls from there.....can you help me with some over the counter something i can take that will definately make me sleep...thank you

id seek professional help with this one. dont know about withdrawls from this med. but maybe there are some natural remedies that can help. unfortunatly you may have to just go cold turkey and get through it. if you were prescribed these meds by your dr have them help you. if you were buying them for personal use maybe check out a narcotics anonymous meeting so you can get the support of others that have been through the same situation. you'd be surprised. not judging just giving you my opinion on both ideas. good luck

There is a mental health forum at Med Help that I think also deals with drug dependency.  You could ask the doctor over there.  Sominex or the store brand of Sominex works well for me.  I take two.  Also talk to your doctor about maybe helping you through the withdrawls.  He may even prescribe a xanax or kalonopin which helps with anxiety and "shuts" off your brain so you are relaxed and able to sleep.  Good Luck!

Seannnn. I'm certainly not a doctor, but I don't think it would be wise to switch from one drug to another. Why did you start taking the morphine to begin with? Was it prescribed? If so, for what?
