Bleeding before period?

My husband and I have been ttc for almost 2 years.  I had an ectopic pregnancy back in April and found out I have endometriosis.  I had the surgery for endometriosis in June and then was put on Lupron for 3 months.  I'm now back to trying to get pregnant again and found out I have low progesterone of 3.8.  I am usually very regular, but the last two months I have started a week eary, but it's most of the dark brown/dark red tissue like blood.  Sometimes there is a lot and sometimes it's only when I wipe, sorry TMI!  I usually go from having that to very heavy clot like bleeding for a couple days and don't feel like I get a regular period at all!  I asked my doctor if it's possibe that I had 2 very early miscarriages and all she said was "it doesn't work like that".  What's going on, why do I keep spotting the tissue, stringy stuff for a week and not any real period blood?!  I'm getting ready to be put on Clomid, but I'm scared that I'm hurting my body if it was in fact a miscarriage both times.  If anyone could help it would be great.  My doctor just acted like it was normal and my periods are just messed up, but my periods have always been exactly 28 days, it is heavy for 2 days and then gets much lighter!
Thank you!

Thank you both so much.  My doctor's office called back and they're referring me to a specialist.  Hopefully he'll be able to tell me what's going on and help me get pregnant!

I'm sorry for your loss. It could be your cycle has been affected from your m/c. It can affect the dates and even the flow. It could also be left over lining from the pg I would ask your dr about that. It can take mos for everything to get back 100%. I would talk to your dr again and tell them your concerns. I can't imagine that your dr would prescribe somthing that could do your body more harm although it does happen. Another option is to get a 2nd opinion and see what another dr says. I would ask to maybe have a exam as well as a u/s to make sure there is nothing causing this bleeding other than it being your cycle affected by the m/c. I'm sorry it can be such a frustrating and confusing time. The waiting is the worst and there are so many questions and fears we have it can be awful. Try to relax and work your way towards getting some answers along with some comfort in the information being given to you. It is your body and you know it best. I can only share my experiences and give my opinions and let you know I have been in your shoes and they are hard shoes to walk in. I'm here if you need to talk. Best wishes to you. Good luck and let me know how everything works out for you!

Hugs,

You might be having anovulatory bleeding, which is simply unpredictable and sporadic bleeding that can occur if you are not ovulating.
