Sad & unsure....

Hi ladies....I need some insight on my situation... At the end of January I found out that I was pregnant. Set and appt with my obgyn..first initial was just to confirm and at the time I was about 5 weeks... He set another appt for about 4 weeks out...went back inn the 4 weeks..he did the pelvic exam and wanted to check on baby...so at that time I should have been about 10 weeks...did 2 u/s and seen the sac..but no baby no activity...he suggested that I was earlier then I thought I was but I'm sure of my dates.. So he set another appt as a follow up...a week late I went back for another u/s and same results....nothing, so needless to say at this time I'm crushed. Did my blod testing and hcg level was 10654 which said to be 5-6 weeks...however my sac was measuring 8 weeks but lmp would put me  at 10... So doc suggested I had a blight ovum saying baby never developed and I could miscarry...so las thursday I started having brown spotting...but as the week progressed it got darker..never red just a darker brown...went to the er on Monday and doc comfirmed a mc ....but I'm still not bleeding...no cramping..and the brown discharge stopped...I'm very confused..because I thought it would happen fast and be over...but it seems to just be prolonging. I don't want to have a d&c ...oh and at the er they drew my blood... Hcg levels 653.... Went back to the doc on Wednesday and he said something er doc said... He told me to wait about 3 weeks to miscarry since I was so far long....has this happened to anyone else??  I'm so confused and sad I have no clue what to do!

Thanks for taking the time out to read & respond. These past couple of weeks have been terrible. I guess the m/c can take a while to happen.l.I called my doc today because I was concerned when there was no more brown spotting..but was told to monitor it for another 2 weeks :( so 2 more weeks of toture.

Thanks again, it makes me feel a lot better knowing that there are others out there with very similar situations.

I has this happen to me too 2 Weeks ago. I was supposed to be 11 weeks, but the u/s showed only sac no baby. Its called a blighted ovum. I was given 3 options, to miscarry naturally which could take a couple Weeks, to to take a pill to cause the MC, or to have a d&c. I chose to have the d&c. I wanted to get it over with. Its a sad and hard thing to g go through. It *****. I wish you the best of luck, and I'm sorry you have to go through this.
