How long to wait after a miscarrage

Hi, I had a miscarrage on Feb 17, 2010 was totally devestating for me and my husband. We really want to try again. But I've been getting mixed reviews on how long to wait. I was 5-6 weeks along when I had it. Any advice out there?? thanks!

Sorry for your loss. Most Dr.s suggest you wait one cycle before trying again but my OB/GYN said it was fine to try before my first period. She said it all depends on if you are emotionally ready and that the body heals very quickly after a miscarriage. Hope that helps, feel better.

I can totally relate I had a miscarrage July 2, 2009 and you are right it is so devestating and hurtful. Its so hard to imagine that you can actually love someone you've never met but we did and to loose that was heartbreaking. My doctor at the time told us to wait a couple of weeks and we did but we still have not gotten pregnant again yet. Hopefully it will happen soon. Maybe you should ask your obgyn and see what they recommend. Again I'm sorry for your loss.
