Is this a sign of Miscariage?

I am 26 years old.  This is my first pregnancy. I have been pregnant for about 1 month now.  I have  noticed minor bleeding.  My breast doesn't hurt. only my nipples when I touch them.  I'm afraid that this bleeing is a sign of miscarriage.  I went to the doctor yesterday, he advised me to relax and lay down as much as possible. I had sex with my husband a few times this month.. But it has been a week now since we had sex..and I noticed little bleeding this morning as well.  Can someone tell me why I am bleeding..I've read that bleeing during 1st trimester is common and ok..is that true.  I also heard that any bleeding while pregnant means high chance of miscarriage.  What can I do to prevent that, Why am I having vaginal bleeding in the first place.  What is going on.. I am scared.  I do not want to lose this child. Thanks

I hate to sound negative but I think that you also need to know that bleeding may be normal, sometimes you can even still get your period but I have had 3 miscarriages this year. The first sign for all of them was spotting. I would ask your doctor to do an US. after 6weeks your suppose to be able to hear a heart beat. Also have you HCG levels checked. If they go up you are still pregnant, if they go down you are most likely going to have a miscarriage.
If you do have a miscarriage, I would reccomend having it natural. Yes it is painful but it is better than a D&C. If you have a D&C, it leaves scarring and can create more issues for any future pregnancy

I had bleeding during my first trimester too. I was worried but I had an ultrasound and the baby was fine. I even passed blood clots!  My tracker shows the bleeding I had early on. Don't worry. Just relax like your doctor said. For the rest of my first trimester I rested every chance I got and put myself on a mini bed rest every weekend. I am 15 weeks today. I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months.
