Am I having a miscarriage?

I went poly on 27 Oct 10 and was confirm preg est 5 week. On 29 Oct at abt 5.30am, I had bleeding ( like menses). At abt 12 noon. I went to NUH A&E. The doc did scanning and confirm I am 5 wk 1 day preg and said that my pregnancy is still safe but the sac was at a very low position. I was given a jab and was allowed to go home after 1 hr observation. At abt 8pm when i was about to chage my pad, there was a lot of blood on my pad and there was like a sliced of skin. I am still bleeding till now 31 Oct 1.30am. Am I hvg a miscarriage? Well I am  37+ & I hv 5 kids. Never had any miscarriage b4.

Hi, I am not a doctor, however what you are discribing is exactly what happened to me when I miscarried a 2 weeks ago, I was 6 weeks. I have 4 children and I never had a miscarriage before, I am 41 and my biological clock is ticking very fast. I spotted the first day, then the next morning I was bleeding pretty heavily, I went to the ER and thats when  I had like fleshy stringy clots came out. I bled for 5 days then it suddenly stopped, I didn't need a D&C as all of my baby came out. The doc said to wait a cycle or 2. I am not using birth control now, and not really trying to hard to conceive now but I am not stopping it.

I wish you all the best xxx
