Missed misscarriage

I had a scan on Friday, I was 10w by my lmp. The baby showed as 6w with no heartbeat and I have to go back this Friday for a scan to see of there is any development. If I was oh 6 weeks then I wouldn't have been pregnant when I got my positive test, as for two of those 6 weeks is conception. I have resided myself to a missed misscarriage, is this most likely and is there any chance the dates could be wrong. Also of it is a missed misscarriage then how long can my body hold onto the fetus, if it has stopped growing at 6 weeks and I am almost 11 now is this normal to carry it for 5 weeks afterwards?

I went through this and have had 2 children 10 and 7 no problems. It took us a year to conceive then no heart beat at 9 weeks and I was 12 weeks so had a dnc. We took the Dr advice waited 3 months ttc and it took a year. I had an ultrasound at 7;weeks heart beat strong and found out 2 weeks later no heartbeat so last Thursday had my second dnc. Dr said possible clotting problem so waiting on blood test. I hope you will not have problems second time around

Sorry for your loss.

I discovered on my 12 scan scan that I had a missed miscarriage. The fetus had died at 5 weeks too, and by the time I have my D&C the fetus was inside me for over 8 weeks!

I was not going to have the D&C, but I was advised by the head nurse that the professor said I should have the operation otherwise it would be painful and more upsetting for me. In the end I took the advice & went ahead with the operation as advised.

This was my 1st pregancy so was very upsetting. It has also destroyed my experience of enjoying future pregancy, which is a shame.

If this was ur 1st miscarriage, then you will notice a real change in ur period cycles, they will become more stable after 3-4 months, and sometimes they just change for good. It's normal and nothing to worry about.

I wish you every luck in the future

Any questions just ask me

Rachel

I'm so sorry...I'm going through the same thing.  I found out my baby stopped growing at 6 weeks as well (it was my 7 1/2 week scan).  I went in a week later and still, no growth or heatbeat.  I tried to wait it out and am almost 10 weeks (9w3d) according to my last lmp and I have a scan today to see whats going on and a D&C tomorrow.  I've had a D&C before and it is an easy procedure (physically).  I HATE this process and am grateful to have a healthy son inbetween the two miscarriages.

Good luck to you.  If you ask what the CRL (crown to rump length) was for your scan anything bigger than 5mm is a missed miscarriage. I found this out after the process and was holding on to hope that was never there.

I do hope for a little miracle for you and you never know...... God Bless!!
