Painful intercourse after m/c

Has anyone experienced painful intercourse after having a m/c?  It's been 1 month since I m/c and me and my partner attempted to have intercourse but at some points throughout it was very painful... kinda like my uterus was very tender and it felt like pressure being put on it...... just wondering if anyone else had any issues like this.

Dear worried102881  ,

I am sorry for your loss,I  also lost my baby 2 weeks ago, week 18. Yes, I have the same problem as your. I find it a little bit more painful and less enjoyable after having the d&C and I have read others as well have the same problem.

It is due to the procedure that the uterus had been gone through and the medicines influence. It is suppose to get better as time goes on. I find using ky helping in a way, and I would suggest you to share it with your husband so he will be in the picture.

They don't feel what we feel and think it is the same as before, but unfortunately it is not and in order for you to have enjoyable intercourse and not painful, he needs to be more gentle in a way...

Hope it helps and wishing you all the best!

it could be that you still have particles from your pregnancy inside of you and that could have caused an infection. have you tried going to your doctor about it? maybe you should just to make sure!

I had a D&C last year and my doctor told me after 6 weeks I could have sex again.  So, my husband and I waited a little while longer b/c i was not ready.  It was probably 8 weeks after the D&C that we finally did have sex and it hurt!  Not only did it hurt when he went inside (it had been so long I guess I became a virgin again :)) but I felt some kind of pressure in my lower abdomen like it could have been my cervix or uterus.  I called my doctor and she said sometimes it takes a while to heal.  So, even if you had a natural miscarriage, it could take a while to heal.  But, if I were you, I would call your doctor and let him/her know just in case.
