What is CD1 after a Miscarriage

I had a d&c on June 10 and I just took a hpt and still got a faint positive. Does CD1 of your cycle after a m/c not even begin until the hcg is 0? I have heard this but I have also heard that the day of the d&c is CD1. Then I heard that cd1 is the first day you have no bleeding or spotting. Anyone know if any of these are correct?

Thank you for your response. That is probably why I find so much varying information, because nobody knows for sure. I did have my post-op checkup yesterday and the doctor noted that one of my folices is growing. He then said it appears to him that I am in the early stages of a new cycle so that is encouraging but I guess that still doesn't mean that my cycle will go back to normal. Good luck to you as well. I hope your cycles are back to normal and you get your bfp soon.

I don't think there is a good answer to that question. I didn't have a proper cycle after my D&C so I couldn't really say what was CD1. I think you have to have a period before you can start counting your cycles again. There is no way to tell when you will ovulate after your D&C. Some people will O 2 weeks later, some, like me, never did. Good luck to you and I'm so sorry for your loss.
