Thank you for all your comments..........
How are you doing so far?
I went through a natural m/c, but I assume they're pretty similar since that's pretty much what you're trying to induce with the cytotec. For me, it felt like a less painful version of labor contractions. There were a lot of similarities, especially the fact that it was rhythmic and came in waves. I was shocked by the actual m/c... I had no clue that most of it would come out in a period of just a couple hours, then continuing at a slower pace over the next few days. So I would strongly suggest to be at home and be comfortable with lots of huge overnight pads. My worst pain was actually not during the worst of the m/c, but actually the day after. I went through an hour where I felt like I was literally in labor and I needed to just stand and rock with my husband. I had been taking 800mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours around the clock, and it wasn't touching the pain at that point. I actually had been given 30 tablets of vicodin after I gave birth to my son last June, and I still had most of them left. I don't like to take things like that, but I finally broke down and took it and it did help the pain a lot, so I was happy that I still had it laying around.
Anyway, I'm just rambling now... Good luck to you. I hope everything passes easily and with as little pain as possible.
I think the cramps and pain depend on how far along you are usually. I have talked with another woman who took meds to induce but I don't think it was the same kind. She said she had some cramps but it really wasn't bad, the cramps were like a bad AF.
I'm so sorry you have to go thru this. Let me know if I can help with anything.
thanks someone told me it helps contract the uterus... are they like labor pains???
The cytotec just helps to soften your cervix. It is placed on your cervix. So sorry to hear about your miscarriage.
