Hi I just had a baby at 16 weeks due to a placental abruption.i dont think anyone knows for sure really.I read a whole bunch of stuff online aboutit. The doctors cant even really tell me anything. From what I understand it happens in about 1% of all pregnancys. One of the first questions they asked me was if I had any trauma to the stomach in the last couple of days.I hadnt. I read online that smoking, taking aspirin late in the prgnancy, diabetes and a few other things can cause it.im doing as much research as I can because I wouldlike to try again but I am really scared it is gonna happen again and I dont think i could handle it.

Thanks for answering. At first I was really scared to try again too.Someone told me that it can happen again but the chance is less than 1 %. But dont give up hope. Anything can happen. It just so devastating I was so depressed went I lost my baby.I told myself that I have to be strong. Its up to God now.Just keep on praying.Take care.

thank you.I just went to the doctor yesterday she told me that i dont have have anything and the pathology report didnt show signs of anything. She thinks it was just a placenta that didnt implant right. She also told me that because of the blood loss i should wait until january to try again.Am having a hard time with that because I didnt want to wait that long.Has your doctor given you a time to try again?
