miscarriage and becoming pregnant again

I had a miscarriage about 4 weeks ago. I am trying to get pregnant again but i started my period yesterday june 16. Could that mean that i might be mistaking my period with another miscarriage or could it be that my body just dsnt know i am pregnant again? I am so worried and confused. It has been over a month since the miscarriage so my body might be back to normal. could that be why i am having a period. its lighter than most my periods and with very light cramping.

sometimes it take a while for your body to adjust after having a miscarriage,  keep an eye on your bleeding and if by the time it has ended, its different to what you usually experience when you get your period, eg lighter or shorter, you can test, many people get pregnant before their first period after a miscarriage, but it also takes others quite some time to fall pregnant again, good luck

You have completed and your miscarriage and the bleeding you had on the 16th June is your period.

After a miscarriage your period may be longer, shorter & ur bleeding may be lighter and more heavier. Either one is fine, as long as the period is not super heavy were by your filling more than 5-6 days a day, and if ur period is shorter than 3 days, then that's too light, then ur fine.

Your Hormones although back to normal, as you having your period, will still be slightly unbalanced and ur body just needs to sort it's self out.

After my miscarriage in Jan 2012, I have experienced different cycle lenght on each period, on my 3rd period since my miscarriage, it went back to my normal cycle of 32 days, and my previous period was 28 days, so I hope my next pregant will be 28 cycle days, rather than guessing each month, but I see it's settling down now.

Also might be a good idea to give it 1-2 cycles before trying again, that's obviously your choice, but doctors recomend it. It just to allow ur body and hormones to settle down, plus it gives you time to make healthier changes to ur diet or any changes that you want to make.

If ur really wanting to get pregant super fast, then I recomend the: Clear Blue Fertilty Moniter, or you could buy the Clear Blue Digital Ovalation tests. Start taking you vitamins straight away and maybe buy some pre-seed, which you can read up on :-)

As I mentioned ealier your cycles may have changed in lenght so Ovalation is hard to detect, so this is why I suggested the clear blue tests.

I am really sorry about your loss, I know it''s very hard :-(

After my miscarriage, it took 24 days to get my period, but on average it
4 -6 weeks, mostly 4 weeks though. Even when I was bleeding the pregancy hormone HCG takes longer to leave ur body. It took 6 weeks for me, so u could always buy a pregancy test and if it negative then ur know ur ok.

This does not sound to me like you experienced a miscarriage, it was just ur period, Pls try not to worry. ( Am not s doctor, but from what u have described just sounds like you got ur period, like I did after my miscarriage

Any questions just let me know

Hello vasquez09

As your aware miscarriages cannot be prevented, it something that just happens.

There are steps you can do to better your chances, such as exercising, drinking pletly of water, eating healthy and taking ur vitamin tables.

I can't answer ur questions, it's just the luck of the draw. You will have a miscarriage or you wont, that goes for every women... even woman who have children still have miscarriages.

It's nothing that you did wrong something during the process just did not work out.

I have no children and I suffered a missed miscarriage on my 1st Pregancy, but my sister was lucky and experienced no miscarriages. My mum however has 3 children, but had 2 miscarriages after me, and am the youngest of the 3.

Try and remain positive.

I am now trying again and if It happens again then there is nothing I can do about it. Yes I will seek help and get all the testing done, but am not going to give myself a really hard time, that's not fair on me.

If am meant to be a mum, then I will be and it will happen, but If not am not going to sink into a massive deep depression and become angry, bitter, Jealous and unhappy. I have been there with my 1st miscarriage, and am not doing that again, it was torture.

Yes, I am remaining positive and I will lead a healthy life-style and with luck, then I hope to fall pregant soon and become a mother.  I am sure you will be fine, just focus on being happy, and healthy and they say 2nd miscarriages are less common.... normally most women go on to have a healthy baby, providing there are no medical problems.
