miscarriage at 8 weeks

hi to everybody. I just posted a question in the wrong place. I am not very good with computers. anyway.
I had a miscarriage ten days ago. I was 8 weeks pregnant . the doctor did the scan and he couldn't feel the beat. The baby stopped developing at 6 weeks. i am very sad about it. I had a lot of hope and it was my first pregnancy and I wasn't really aware of the dangers of the first three months.
the doctor tolm me that this is commun and that i can try again but after around 2 or 3 months. I would like to try sooner. Anybody can give me advice?
thank you

so sorry that you have had to go through this!!!   its something that no one can prepare you for! unfortunately we are going thru a mc too right now.. my RE says that after one period we can ttc again! sounds like it varies from dr to dr... but i'm not a patient person so we defintely won't be waiting any longer than that! good luck!

It's tough to know when to keep going...  All I can tell you is that you need to feel ready yourself and that is a great start and I understand that you can still get pregnant even if you period doesn't return to normal...  They even say that after pregnancy it takes your body 2 years to get back to "normal", and that after a miscarriage it takes about 3 months but you know what I have plenty of friends who have all these stats and they still get pregnant after a miscarriage, without a long wait at all (not that I'm a doctor, but it does happen).  I also think when you're ready, you're ready and you should go for it.  Think positive, go to the doctor regularly when things are worrying you, eat healthy, exercise and stay on top of how you are feeling and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

My doctor also told me to wait at least one normal cycle. I miscarried 5 weeks ago and i still haven't stopped bleeding. I feel i will never stop and have a regular cycle.

i think you should listen to your body about when to start trying again.  I have had 2 miscarriages, both at around the 8 week mark. The last was just before XMAS last year (I had a natural miscarriage) and my body has not been the same since.  It took a couple of months to actually get my AF again and then I had a burst cyst etc, etc.  so am now having to investigate further with my doctors as to what might be going wrong.  Did you have a D&C or a natural miscarriage?

my doctor told me to wait one healthy cycle, i did and got pregnant again and had another MC.  but many women get pregnant again after MC without even getting a period.

i am sorry for your loss.  the MC rate is so high in the first trimester, it is acutally sad to think that your chances of MC are higher than having a healthy pregnancy.
