totally off topic - Alxzheimers

Early research can always be wrong, especially in a small cohort of subjects, but they announced today that IVIG has been shown to stop Alzheimers in a very very small, limited study.  Wouldn't that be wonderful?  I had to share - here's the link for the story

We'll have to see if this holds up in future studies.

There seems to be quite a bit of breaking news concerning Alzheimers, yesterday i read a study that was able to determine Alzeimers before dx because of a persons walking style. Basically monitoring walking style or gate was able to indicate cognitive decline, which i thought was interesting considering i'm very aware of both these issues and this could potentially have an impact to cognitive issues in MS, fingers crossed.

Today there is an article on research finding a blood biomarker, looks like they are getting closer to being able to create an easier way to dx, which will make a huge difference.

I will share this with my mother.  My maternal grandmother died after a long bout of Alzheimer's.  I sure would have been nice to have been offered some hope then.  (It's been about 17 years ago that she finally succumbed.  One of the most awful days of my life.
