Part of it is CMSC and MS Society recommendations. If your baseline is is on a 1.5 T, then the followup should be on a 1.5 T. They have some twisted logic. If a 3.0T sees 25% more lesions, they should move up to the 3.0 if it is available. Oh well, no one aver said this stuff made sense.

I had to work really hard to make sure that I got a scan on a 3T machine. I don't understand why neurologists don't always schedule you for the best Tesla available!
I didn't see the order. I called in and the University hospital does everything electronically. I'll have to wait. It was a newer 1.5 T scanner, and they slid me into the bore and never moved the table for the entire scan. They were done non-contrast and contrast in under 45 min. That's what makes me think they didn't shoot the c-spine. I'll just have to see what the report says. Valium worked fine. No claustrophobia this time.
That rots.
Wasn't the C ordered?

Sorry your test was frustrating to you. We are here for you if you need to vent. Hopefully you get the results quickly. Good luck to you. Pamela
Hi,
I was hoping you would post. I've been thinking about you, knowing you had a test tonight.
I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the 3T test. I see from above you have a neuro radiologist. Now, I wish I had one of those or at least knew how to find one.
I hope you are feeling better this week. Take care and hope you get your results soon.
Respectfully,
Luvsummer
