seeing an eye doctor

i'm almost three years into my journey to a dx of MS, or what ever.I have had a fibro dx for many years, and have done really well considering other stories i have read, til three years ago when my head pain began,MRI, family history, some minor symptoms gave me a "possiable" from my first nero,2ond one, laughed, and worse.
my pcp treats me symptomaticly, and supports the return to just fibro.but now were looking at lyme, and finding an appointment with a certain ID specialist.okay, my question...i don"t seem to have a definite problem with my vision, but would it help if i made an appointment with a opthomogilist(sp?), could that help with my journey? and who to, and what do I say  I need, or say at all?
Or should  I just wait til a real need presents itself, something like On? just thought I'd ask,as I'm spinning wheels here again, and feelin terrible too.                                       Thanks, humming4u

hi forum friend,
sorry i can't even seem to know how to ask a question this week.
no,I'm not really having any direct vision problems, just very tired eyes, maybe a little blurry, but then again I did just catch out of the corner of my eye, yesterday, a hummingbird, flying by the feeder and landing on a near by tree branch,It sat and pruned itself for a good 20 minutes, finally occured to me to get binoculars!!! yeah.
but i guess I was asking, I'm just fishing for another way for maybe someone to see...is the monster MS here in me.I so beleive he is, but i stink at being aggresive in my medical mystery arena! so...grasping at straws, i was wondering if the right kind of eye guy could help me.I kinda know better, don't they want to see On, and I am very thankful that i have not had a glimmer of that! i know i would be scared by that!!
thank you santana for your help.hope your vision issues have improved??, and sorry you've been learning the hard way               humming4u

Are you saying that you have had vision problems in the past or that you are now?  Or are you asking if you should go to an Optho just to be sure that your vision is OK?  I am a little confused about what your question is!  I seem to have acumulated a lot of knowledge of eye disorders and vision information the hard way!!! lol!!!!!!!   I would love to try to answer some of your questions about vision if I can or if I know the answer!  Could you tell me more specifically what you are asking?

Hugs,
~Santana~

sorry to see your being tossed back and forth...and getting no further ahead.

I'm not yet Dx and going on three years as well.  Still having tests MRI etc.. waiting for results.

I can't say much on if you should wait for eye problems or if you should get them checked out??

hope someone can help out here with some suggestions...

take it easy.
