weakness and heavyness in legs

Hi everyone and hope everyone had great holidays.  Since the holidays I have had leg heavyness and weakness more than usual.  I have been tripping alot and just barely catching myself.  I dont know if its from the cold or just being so tired from all running around.  After Christmas, (this year it was my turn to have it at my house with my brother and sister and there family)  I was hurting so bad in my legs both of them this time.  The next day it just seemed to take everything I had just to walk.  My head also has been feeling weird and I cant hardly explain it.  It is like something washes over me.  I seem to catch myslf just staring and I feel like soemthing is moving in my brain.  I know that sounds crazy and was very scared to even mention it.  I know people think I am crazy.  I will be so glad to see my new neurologist  the 29th.  I hope he will order a new mri of the brain also do a spine one.  Is it ok to ask for one?  Love you all, Lynette

YOU ARE NOT CRAZY NOR A HYPOCHONDRIAC.  YOU HAVE VALID SYMPTOMS,NOW YOU GOT GOOD ADVICE FROM ESS,ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS AFTER YOUR NEURO DOES HIS EXAM AND READS YOUR TIME LINE.

I CAN RELATE TO THE HEAVINESS IN THE LEGS,KINDA MAKES YA FEEL LIKE YA WEARING CEMENT SHOES.NOT A PLEASANT FEELING.

TRY TO TAKE A BREAK FROM THE TIME LINE AND GIVE YOURSELF A FEW DAYS OF REST THEN RETURN TO IT.

When I read your post, I thought I had some "words of wisdom" to share with you, but then read "ess's" post and said, "She said it all."  So, listen to the wisdom of Ess.  She is exactly right on with her advice.

Thanks Ess...you wise woman, you!

I hope you feel better Lynette.  I suspect you are paying the price for overdoing.  What do you think?  I am glad to hear that your appointment is not far off....

I'm so sorry you have been on a downslide. Absolutely ask your new neuro for new tests, including MRI. He or she will probably do that in any event. But since you're starting out with a new person, do your best to let him see that you take an active part in your health decisions and are trying to understand as much as possible.

You might also do a new timeline for him, and in general, sort of polish up your health history and be ready for a new beginning. Ask here if you need any pointers. There's lots of info and lots of good will.

Hang in there,  ess
