Another sort of OT - Anthony Bourdain Essay

One of those folks out there who regularly writes a blog about MS has entered an essay contest on Anthony Bourdain's website.  He has promised that if he wins, he will donate the $10,000 prize to NMSS.  

If you feel inclined, take a minute to read his essay about taste and MS, and vote for his effort.  You can vote once daily, so feel free to do this into Sept. when the contest ends.  You can either vote through your facebook account or you can setup an account (simple to do) through bourdain's website.

I'm all about stats and have been known to occasionally have a competitive streak, so here's the deal:

Our guy is up again, to 47th place since yesterday, so that's great.  The frontrunner has 2199 votes so far; 1995 more than our guy.  To tie with her would take 40 votes a day for the 50 remaining days till the contest closes.  That's to tie her if she got no more votes after today, which of course she will.  

I would love to see this guy win, see the $ go to the MS Society in the US, but most of all the spotlight this would put on MS and the awareness it would raise would be great, as in addition to the $, the real prize is that the essay gets published in a book by Anthony Bourdain.

So any of you who can vote, I hope you do, and I'll do my part like Lu did and re-post on my FB page, and othe MS pages and sites I can think of.

Currently with 158 votes, this essay is in 55th place out of 1310.

come on American friends, vote daily and ask your friends to vote too!  I'll bet this forum alone could get this guy into first place.  

Wish I could vote but alas us Canadians, UKers, Aussies and NZers can only cheer from the sidelines.
