Anyone know what this means

"minimal ill defined t2 FLAIR hyper intensity in periventricular white matter of the bilateral cerebral hemispheres however with no definite well defined focus"

That was not there on the last brain MRI I had.

This is a description of an abnormality that just isn't clear.  Another term for it might be "dirty-appearing white matter."  In your case there appears to be only one such area like this.

When I had those findings, my neuro repeated the MRI on a machine with higher resolution and in each place that had the "ill-defined" spots there were clear lesions.

I always do a google search on the words defined in my MRI reports and usually come up with a hit that gives a better definition. Have you tried that yet?

That's the way I would read that, although one of two things is going on here.  Either English is not the native tongue of the person writing the report, or they're trying to leave themselves enough wiggle room to back up in case someone else wants to challenge their interpretation.  Maybe both.  Kinda like maybe sorta.

bumping myself up just in case someone can figure thins out.  Does this mean I possibly have some lesion activity in the periventricular area?  This was not on the previous MRI report.  This is something new.
