Anyone who has taken Rebif

Would any of you be willing to PM me and tell me your experiences once you ramped up to full dose on Rebif?  I mean the UNVARNISHED truth..... what side effects did you have?....how long were you at full dose before the side effects kicked in?...how severe were they?....how long did it last - did your body get used to the dosage at some point?

Friday nite was one full week at the full dose for me.  Had very mild side effects previously.  Yesterday was an eye opener, and I just would like to see where I fall in with others who have taken, or are still on, the same ride.... :)  I don't want to do this on the general forum because we have people at all different points along the diagnosis and treatment path, and I don't want to color any one else's experiences.... and I need to hear details at this point....:) Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share....

Rita

I was on Rebif until just lately.  I was diagnosed 11/9/07 and when on Rebif the same day.  First had the 8.8mcg for 2 weeks, then the 22mcg for 2 weeks, and then up to the full 44mcg.  It really kicked my butt, especially at first.  I would have temps up to 102.9.  The temps went down as time went by, but they were never under 100 on shot days.  On those days I was always run down and tired, but my biggest "shot symptom" was that my skin burned.  I hated having clothes on because the slightest touch of them just really irritated my skin.  I recently had an MRI that showed 2 more lesions in my brain, so my neuro recommended because of those and being so run down 3 days of the week that maybe I should change to Copaxone.  I'll be switching over sometime this week.  Hope this helps...let me know if you have any other questions.  :-)  Angela

I really don't know how many people here that are on Rebif.  This may be the reason you haven't gotten many answers as yet.

Hang in there.
