Hello my friends,, Blast from the past

It's been a long drawn out road for me.. I hope everyone is doing well! I have a positive bloodtest that reveals Babesia. That's a lovely co-infection along with Bartonella to my Lyme Disease! It took a whole year of treatment to finally get a positive result.

Still going through treatment, on an abx/herbal protocol.
I started out on here in 2010 not knowing what was wrong with me. Thinking I had MS, because Lyme and MS mimic eachother.

I am so sorry for anyone here that is still looking for answers. Don't give up!

Thank you all for being here for me when I needed you the most!

Pam

LOL LOL,, sorry,,,  I hope I could post this right without it getting blocked, so here it goes.. http then : // then it's www (dot) publicheathalert (dot) org / Articles /  ,,, my story is called Chronic Illness: A Lifelong Battle of Lyme & Graves Disease.

Trust me when I tell you,, " It's very long, and some scattered thoughts along the way, but it is "raw",, It was published "as is"  so it told my story the way I wrote it down on paper. I hope  to help others, the way I was helped here and over on the Lyme forum.

I am determined to get better, but,,, I have a long road ahead of me. I have had alot of setbacks during my treatment, but I keep telling myself it will get better, or at least I hope so. :)

I have missed you guys,, I spent hours on here looking and searching for an answer, and I finally have it!! It's sad how you can be so excited to get a proper diagnosis!! LOL

Thank you all!! :)

I'm glad you're getting answers, and wish you luck on getting rid of this junk in your body! An arduous path, and I wish you strength, and a speedy path to restored health.

Cheers,

Pam, how great to see you around.  From what I know, it takes a while to get those cooties out of your system and can be difficult at times.  I hope your bacteria kill-off goes well.  And thanks for giving us an update.  BTW, what is the link? I owuld love to read your story. hugs, L

HI Shell!! I feel like it's been forever! Right now I am on abx combined with herbals. My protocol has changed quite a bit. I started out low and am now working my way up. I am on 2000mg of Biaxin and 1000mg of Plaquinel. I also take magnesium and milk thistle. I did do the teasle root for a while with Rifampin and Ceftin, but the Rifampin made me herx too much so my doc. changed it.

I went through periods of total pain in my knees and feet. I couldn't walk for a week. I am now fighting off what I think is the flu. It's either that, or another herx. That part of this whole process to get well, is the worst.

I hate that I have to feel worse before I get better, but it's the bacteria die-off, so it's a good thing.

If anyone is interested in my story, it has been published in PublicHealthAlert newspaper. Type in the link and add Chronic Illness a battle of Graves and Lyme Disease . It's very long... lol

anyway, glad to be back here.. I will stop in more often :)

haha, thanks! You are so right! As much as we don't want to have a dx of anything, at least we know what we are dealing with!
