Good catch Jen - I overlooked the heart angle completely - what's wrong with me, I certainly have been on my heart disease soap box enough around here.
Kathy, that's one more very good reason to call the doctor and talk to them about your symptoms. my heartfelt best, Lu
Kathy, I would check your blood pressure to be safe - many women have problems with strokes.
Don't panic, though! I frequently get pain and tingling in my hands, and shooting pains from my back around my ribcage. Sometimes it seems to go up into my neck, around the muscles leading to my ear. I don't think it qualifies as an MS hug - that's when you get a cramp that goes all the way around your torso, or part of the way around.
How does the pain feel in your hand? Is it a dull throbbing, or more like somebody's poking a needle into your hand?
Hi Kathy,
Welcome to this wonderful forum - I see you are new here. If the pain is constant, I would call my MS doctor and talk to them. They can then decide if you need to be seen. If it comes and goes, that's a little harder to catch but I think I would still call for their advice.
Yes, that type of pain could be MS related but it would also be something else. You ask about relaxing, but that's so hard to do when you are in pain.
I hope when you are feeling better you will take some time to share a little about yourself and your MS.
We're in this together!
