After last week spent at 3 different neuro's offices, the pain clinic twice and signing papers for taking Tysabri and joining the Stratified Two research with Tysabri ; I would like to say I'm resting this week but not so.
My last baby graduates from high school this week. Tonight was Baccalaureate. Tomorrow and Wednesday will be spent scrubbing down the house in prep for his graduation party on Thursday.
Out of town relatives arrive on Thursday as well. Busy, busy, busy!!
It's good to hear the good news this week from Alex finally feeling better despite the doctors advice (and rightly so) to Mike's help around the house to new life brought inot this world~Congratulations Dennis!
Next.................
Dennis, congratulations!!! That is fantastic news! And yes, they sure do let us women leave the hospital quickly. I left less than 24 hours after each of my kids was born. I'm sure it's an insurance thing. Anyway, congrats on your new grandson! Very happy for you!

Well my week started out with todays trip to the VA which I talked about in another post. While there I checked into the foot brace I am suppose to get for my right foot. It was not approved until the 19th so it will be a week or so before I get it.
In other news my daughter had a baby boy on the 20th at 11:44 AM. She was back home from the hospital with the bundle of joy by 2 PM on the 21st. They sure are kicking them out quickly these days. She named him Jean-luc.

Our oldest daughter and son in law came for the weekend and worked hard around the place to help us out.
It was their 7th wedding anniversary on Sunday, and we bar-b-qued some great big juicy steaks and had one or two to many drinks to celebrate.
They left at noon today.....we miss them already (they live about 3 1/2 hours away).

Memorial weekend is a huge event in our town, as we have our biggest festival - the annual Azalea Festival, with parades, street fairs, art shows, car shows, jet fly-overs and an air show, and lots of other fun events going on. It also kicks off our tourist season.
The really great part is that everyone "comes home" for Azalea Festival. In fact, class reunions are commonly held this weekend since so many people are going to be here anyway. I've already run in to several old friends who have arrived early - one I haven't seen for 12 years!
I'm really looking forward to this weekend (if you couldn't tell). I'm a bit on edge because of this latest "relapse" (not sure what to call it since I'm not diagnosed). The baclofen has helped a ton, but I'm still feeling off balance, not to mention I seem to be having some cognitive issues (lots of word finding and switching issues). This will be the first time many of my old friends have seen my foot drop and notice I am having problems.
I really just want to enjoy the weekend. I don't have a problem generally just giving a simple "I'm having some neurological problems" answer, but I would prefer to just try and forget about it as much as possible and have a wonderful time during the festival. I don't want to spend it answering questions. Any ideas how I can fend off ??s from friends?
I hope everyone has as good a Memorial weekend as I plan on having!

I'm hoping it is a fun week....
Waiting for a call back from the neuro's office.
We have an alumni thank-you dinner tonight, which should be good. This is the group that does our MS Walk team and they are all very nice people.
I'm getting a jump start on the long weekend and taking Thursday & Friday off work. Not sure if we will stay here or on the road for the weekend - we are looking at options. We might make the run to PA to check on our friend in Butler.
@Alex - I hope you get into the studio space and can let your creative juices flow.
I am starting to get better. I have more MS Symptoms than I ever had.
I hope to paint. I need to paint.
I hope everyone has a nice holiday with family and friends.
