Possible c5 lesion?

Hi everyone, I had a detailed neuro exam this week and the neurorehab doc did a lot more than my neuro had a few months ago. She told me that my deep tendon reflexes in both biceps were "brisk" and rated them a 3+.

I have not had a spinal MRI and am trying to figure out if this means a possible spinal cord lesion.

I have only found conflicting info so far thatindicates a lesion or that my reflexes there may be brisk but still considered normal.

Does anyone have any info on this or a reliable link?

Thanks!
Corrie

Corrie.. I have a lesion at c2/3 and my symptoms are lhermettis sign and numb and tingles in hands arms daily and sometimes feet.

I do however have a herniated disk at c5... Maybe that causes the tingles like maracamama.

I don't have any info or links to help you with what is causing your brisk reflexes but I don't think it is at C5.

C5 & C6 is where some of my problems are coming from and my neuro told me that that is what is causing my left hand / arm numbness and weakness.  It's always possible that lesions in this area can cause other problems too, but this was all that she told me.  I have no reflexes at all (or very little) so my C5 definitely isn't giving me brisk reflexes.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.  Maybe someone else knows more and can provide better info.
