Follow up MRI today

Hi All,

It's JibJen from Limboland - going for my follow up MRI today. Brain and C-spine, with and without contrast..My spasms in hand are under control with Baclofen..Hoping my MRI clinches a definitive dx. for me.

I know nobody wishes for new lesions..but I am sure you know how limbo is/was.. you come to a turning point where you "need" something new to show up and explain things and tell you which way to go at that "fork" in the road that you have been standing at for years ...If that makes any sense.

Thanks for all your support in the past

I'll let you know how I make out.

Jibs

You can complain anytime you want!  Please!  You did your time, time to whine! Haha. Rhyme intended.

Glad it is over and done with and will be anxious to hear the results.

Meanwhile I want to congratulate you on your new doc that has made a big difference in your life and is NOT dismissive!  Phew!

Thanks Everyone,

I had my MRI..ugghhh..so long (and annoying) but done..I have a follow up appointment on Nov. 30th, so I assume I will know more then, unless there is a significant finding and he calls me earlier. He had also planned to do an EMG testing on hand but I think he will decide that when he gets my results from MRI but it is scheduled just the same for the 30th as well.

I am not on DMD yet but he is treating my symptoms thus far...which is good and he is not dis-missive - big difference from last doc..only regret is that I wish I would have gone for this opinion sooner, I just may be further ahead than I am now but I will not complain ;o)

Thanks again everyone for your support and guidance. Much appreciated..

I know how you feel - wanting to finally get a definitive diagnosis. If you have to live with the symptoms, then you should at least have a name for what you have.  Here's hoping that your MRI has changed in a way that will get you the correct diagnosis - and the proper meds to start treating it (if you're not on the DMDs already).

Good luck with your MRI.

Good morning to you...or wait...afternoon (oops).

Yes, I do know exactly what you mean when you're repeating another MRI and hoping that your brain or spine will show something to aid the doctor's diagnosis along.  Not that you wish it upon yourself, but it is so frustrating not to know why you're having something that is causing you all this physical and/or emotional grief for so long.

Glad your Baclofen is helping!  Spasms hurt like a mo fo!

I am dying to hear how it works out!

Nice to meet you!
