Body Jolting

My husband is going to be going for his MRI of the Brain & Spine on the 20th of March. The specialist believes he has Progressive MS, but wants the MRI's & all the other tests to be done before she says for sure if he has it. He was diagnosed last year with Hep C and went through 48 weeks of treatment, but previous to that diagnosis he was having issues with his legs and walking.

He has been experiencing bad body jolts at night which wake him up. I can see him jolting if I lay awake and watch. Sometime he jolts so much it wakes me up too. Has anyone experienced these symptoms.

During the daytime he has periods where his hands shake uncontrollably and also if he stands to long say 2-3 minutes his legs start to shake, especially in the left leg which is the limb where he get the most pain and the reason he has been using a cane for the last three years.

Thanks you,

Sue (wife of Harrybeads)

I had a couple of times where I woke up because my neck was jerking back and forth.  It was right in the middle of a flare... when I got over the flare, my neck stopped.

I also have problems with shaky legs when I'm fatigued.  I can't do anything about it except go back to bed and rest up!

I have these jolts every once in awhile, not all the time. I believe it's cause just as your muscles relax. In my case just as I go to sleep. I'm sure someone with more expertise can help you better, but wanted to reply with what little I did know!
