Is this a sign of lesions or a flare up??

Hi I have been having pains in my left hand and also my thumb and little finger have been having what i can only describe as a feeling like a light electrical shock for the last week, could this maby be a sign of new lesions or something, i have also been having weird pains in my right leg and it seems heavy when i walk, i have been told i need to go for another mri but at the moment i dont have the funds for it, and i am a little worried, i also have been having headaches only they feel more like someone has put my head in a vice and is squeezing.
Does anyone have any ideas if this is a sign of lesions or a flare up.

Good morning or should I say afternoon in SA,

I recall asking my neuro a similar question recently. She said that during an exacerbation, (regardless of whether you have new symptoms or worsening of old symptoms), it generally means that there are new lesions forming in the brain or on the spinal cord.

Now she did stress that it "generally" means the development of new lesions.  She added that if someone develops a cold, flu or some form of an infection, they could experience symptoms that would initially indicate a flare-up. In the case of an infection, however, treating it successfully should result in a reversal of the symptoms.  In the case of an actual flare-up, I am not sure at what point doctors would order tx w/ steroids.

Well, if you have MS, it's highly likely these new things are just more signs of it. Are you on any medications?
