CPAP update 2

Well I now have a humidifier to go with the s9 and thing have improved. At my clinic appointment the nurse commented that the SD card that records the data showed that the pressures where pretty high. (the machine I have alters the pressureconstantly as required through the night) we thought that it might be due to the fact the machine was drying me out and this would be sorted out by the humidifier.

But I have noticed that the pressures are still high, I am definititly not so dry in the nose and mouth, but I do wake up feeling like my lungs are over inflated, in the middle of the night. The only thing I can do is switch the machine off and then turn it on again as it resets to it's starting pressure of 4.

Can anyone explain what is happening? does the pressure relate to how bad the sleep apnea is?
Thanks all
Twist

As I understand my S9, it does fluctuate to my need for oxygen.  It adjusts the pressure to the apneas I have. The nurse made an increase to my pressure limit to compensate better.

If you are being awakened by this feeling of being over-inflated (I was getting chipmunk cheeks with my incorrect mask fit) please call your clinician, take the machine in again, and be rechecked. If you continue to struggle with this, you might just stop using the CPAP entirely which is not a good option.

hang in there, L
