Thanks for the input. It's really tough trying to figure out where to go. We're working with a neuro here in town for now (only seen her once - daughter just had the MRI Tuesday). They're trying to be schedule her for and MRI of the spine next week and then an LP. I just know that when we go for our 2nd opinion, which we'll definitely do, I want to go to the best place within a reasonable distance. We live pretty much the same distance from IA City as we dp from Madison, but I think Madison is looking better than IA City. We'll have to see I guess...
Don't know too much about UW Madison, but one of the doctors there, John Fleming, is fairly known in the MS community:

He co-wrote this article, which is pretty good:

Of course, there will be probably be several neurologists there, and any place can have a mix of good and not-so-good doctors.
I have not had any personal experience with UW Madison, but I am from WI. I know that there is a really good MS clinic at St. Luke's in Milwaukee. I see you are coming from Iowa? It would be a little further of a drive, about an hour, but from what I've heard, this is the best clinic in the state.
I have not personally been there, but I know a few people that have. Everyone that I know who has MS goes to St. Lukes. It might be worth looking into.
