One sided weakness and mobility aids

Just curious -- what do you use?  I've
Messed up my knee and am alternating between crutches and a borrowed wheelchair.  The crutches are too much for my right arm and shoulder to handle.  The wheelchair is tough to move with my poor right hand grip.

This is a temporary situation -- but it got me thinking ... What does one do in this situation?

Currently I'm stuck in the house.  It's one thing to recuperate from a knee injury - throw in preexisting leg weakness, neuropathy and spasticity .. Sheesh.  I've just been signed up for home Physio so perhaps they can advise -- my original question was a theoretical one.

Good question! Thanks for posting. I've been wondering along those lines, left leg is weaker than right so my cane (for occasional use only at this point), needs to be in my right hand. My right hand is weaker than my left.

I'll have to follow Alex's suggestion and ask my PT at my next appt.

This is where an evaluation of a physical therapist comes in. They can try different things and tell you the best way to use them.
