Anyone dx'ed without lesions?

I know that it is technically possible for someone to be dx'ed without lesions but has that happened to anyone in modern times?  My doctors are shocked by the number of "symptoms" that I have but no lesions have shown on my brain, cervical or thoraic MRIs.  So I'm curious if anyone has indeed been dx'ed without lesions showing up.

Thanks.  That helps.  I'll see what my neuro says on Friday.  He'll have the SSEP of my legs and the clear MRIs.  In the meantime I'm having more electical shock spasms and spasms with no electrical shock now.  I can't trigger these.  They just happen but only at night when I am trying to fall asleep.  I'll wait and see.  Thanks

Yes Jules,

I was dx in 7/08 and all lab tests are normal even MRI. I too have many symptoms and it was the symptoms and flares specifically that finally made the call.  For me, I started w/ Optic Neuritis 8/07. Then in Dec 07 had a flare that made my right side so weak I could barely walk. I went on oral prednisone. Then in Feb 08 I had another flare. Then in June 08, I had the worst one thus far and required IV roids. Finally Neuro said too many symptoms and too many flares. My physical exam ie reflexes, neuro checks are abnormal so Dr said its definetly MS, we just cant see it yet. So, yes you can be dx with neg labs.  I hope all goes well for you!
