Quix and all,
I mentioned on the Monday thread about there being no compounding pharmacy nearby (the closest one is about forty minutes), but I was probably too brief. The neuro actually anticipated this problem and gave me a URL for an online compounding pharmacy in Colorado. It's called College Pharmacy and it's at http://www.collegepharmacy.com/contact.asp.
However, I am *still* waiting for the new patient representative to call me back plus they weren't sure if they will be able to take my insurance (and I have no idea how expensive this drug is).
So if this doesn't work out, I may be looking for other options.
They do have a page on the drug I'm supposed to try at http://www.collegepharmacy.com/specializations/ms.asp. It says, "4-Aminopyridine (4-AP) is a drug shown to improve visual function and motor skills and relieve fatigue in patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). 4-AP is most effective in patients with the chronic progressive form of MS, in patients who are temperature sensitive, and in patients who have had ms for longer than three years."
