PD, glad to hear you survived another ride in the tube! LOL
I am curious to hear what the radiologist and the neuro label these spots.

No iea about the report; guessing i should've asked about that today, but I can't figure more than a week, would ya think? Big city & all, right down the street from one of the biggest hospitals in the region, the radiologist has to see things pretty often.
Wasn't sure I was clear: my last MRI was 15 months ago, at a different facility for a different neuro.
I got a couple shots put together I'll try to put on my profile.
It's my understanding that lesions that do not enhance are considered "older" meaning they are older than the past two months, according to my MS neuro.
I hope you get answers soon! When is your follow-up appt. {besides not soon enough:-)} ?
Hoping you get answers soon,

Just wondering how long before you can get your hands on a copy of the report?
Just my two cents worth. Then its seems like I allways have my report before my DR.
After my MRI's I can a copy within two days of the MRI.
I have big shoulders so the MRI is tight for me. Each time I have an MRI the more I dislike them . Guess I better get use to them..
,
take care.
John..
The experts can help out here, but it is my understanding that contrast enhancing lesions usually show up 2 to 6 weeks as new, on some occasions perhaps 3 to 4 months as new and rarely up to 6 months as new. Here's a link where you can check out a very technical write up of MRIs of the brain:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/8817608/MRI-Atlas-of-MS-Lesions
That being said, given that your last MRI was in January, it is possible that this is a new lesion. The same protocol would have to have been followed to ensure comparability between the Jan and most recent MRI.
As far as exporting the images, it all depends what program was used. Check to see if your new disk has a Help icon in the upper left hand corner. If not, look and see if there is a question mark in the upper right hand corner. Either one of those should open up the help section and the Export function is usually in the list of topics. My most recent disk lets me just copy and paste the image into Paint, where I can save it as a jpeg file. Using paint also helps to erase personal information if you want to post your image.
