Sometimes you gotta laugh...

I just wanted to share something--sometimes you have to laugh at yourself or you'll go nuts!  My most um...prominent MS symptom seems to be cognitive.  Sometimes I have what I have begun calling "a stupid day".  Anyway, my husband and I sometimes guess whether it's going to be a stupid day.

He called me awhile ago, and told me he might change his mind about today.  He was getting ready to eat the lunch that I packed for him, with leftover steak and fried potatoes from this weekend.  He said he was quite surprised when he opened the potato dish and found cabbage.  I guess it wouldn't have been so bad, but it was left over from several days ago, so I'm sure it was quite pungent!

You probably had to be there, but I had quite a laugh.

Have a great day,
The Wreck

I'm glad you guys appreciated it...I was ready to cry the night before when I couldn't remember our cat's name.  Not that the cat cares, as long as her dish has food in it!  But, I did really feel stupid.

And yes, EL, he was probably popular for the rest of the day.  Evidently he stuck it in the microwave without looking in the dish. somehow, it struck me as  being absolutely hilarious.  He said he was glad that I could still laugh.

Ah yes, the 'thing' has become the name of many items in my life. I get sick of trying different names for something when I can't remember or am telling my brain to search for the word for an object and I get something completely random. Like bus, train and car for a motorbike, or a mobile phone for a video camera. Yeah... it's easier to say "thing". People still laugh at me when I say it but I don't care :-)
